The standard advice is just post more. Be consistent. Play the algorithm.
That advice is a trap. It converts your labor into platform revenue. It tells you that the solution to suppression is to work harder inside the system that is suppressing you. It is the digital equivalent of telling someone to pull themselves up by their bootstraps while someone else is standing on the straps.
I'm not waiting for the platforms to fix themselves. I don't believe they will, because the incentive structure doesn't require it. They will continue to extract wealth from communities that have no other viable distribution infrastructure until either regulation forces change or the communities build alternatives.
So we build alternatives.
A credentialed publishing platform for women's health. Not a blog. Not a newsletter. A peer-reviewed, clinician-authored publication that owns its own distribution. If the platforms won't show our clinical content to the healthcare leaders who need it, we build a platform where they come directly to us.
The $80 I could spend pushing a post into LinkedIn's suppression machine could instead pay a content creator with an aligned audience to put it in front of real people. The creator gets paid. The content gets distributed. The money stays in the community. And I don't subsidize the system that's burying me. Yemaya is not a workaround. It is a replacement.

We are not complaining. We are not asking for special treatment. We are not asking for anyone to feel sorry for us.
We are asking for our work to stand on its own merit. And when the infrastructure won't allow that, we are building new infrastructure.
